Other Networks and Navigator Resources

Coalitions and Collaboratives (COCO)/US Forest Service Community Navigator Program

COCO partners with the US Forest Service and a team of national and regional nonprofits to deliver Community Navigator services. Community Navigators support communities in accessing federal funding opportunities to build capacity for wildfire risk reduction and community resilience.

Hispanic Access Foundation/US Forest Service Community Navigator Program

Hispanic Access Foundation partners with the US Forest Service to offer the Community Navigators Program (CNP). The program serves as a bridge between 1,200+ Latino-led/serving nonprofits working in rural communities by providing grant mentorship so they can successfully access funding through the U.S. Forest Service.

WaterNow Alliance

WaterNow Alliance works to advance transformation in the urban water sector to accelerate the widespread adoption of resilient and environmentally sustainable water management strategies. Through a large network, WaterNow Alliance connects people to opportunities, resources and ideas and showcases replicable strategies for communities to implement.

Riverscape Restoration Network

The Riverscape Restoration Network (RRN) is a network established in 2020 to bring together agencies, non-profits, academics, funders, and restoration professionals interested in sharing information about process-based stream restoration (PBR) work happening across the western states to improve resilience to drought and wildfire among many other benefits. Membership is free and there are quarterly presentations from experts on PBR topics of interest.

New Mexico Beaver Coalition

The New Mexico Beaver Coalition brings together a diverse group of state, federal, tribal, non-profit, for-profit organizations, and individuals to share information, coordinate activities, and identify common interests and opportunities to work collaboratively to expand the distribution of beaver across New Mexico.

Southwest Collaborative Support Network

The Southwest Collaboratives Support Network (SWCSN) is a practitioner network bringing together experienced coordinators, facilitators and leaders of place-, interest-, and project-based collaboratives to develop and share strategies that support the work of collaborative leaders and groups.

New Mexico Collaborative Hub

The NM Collaboration Hub, developed through the Collaboration Program at the New Mexico Forest and Watershed Restoration Institute- is a centralized site designed to support the growing network of collaboratives and their partner organizations across New Mexico. As a one-stop resource for information, tools, and updates, the Hub is tailored for those working in natural resource management and engaged in efforts like wildfire mitigation and recovery, and with implementing adaptive management practices aimed at improving and maintaining forest and watershed health.

Nonprofit Legal Defense Network

The Nonprofit Legal Defense Network provides organizations with information and resources on advocacy compliance and nonprofit tax law to protect their missions. Resources include clinics, trainings, checklists, and  one-on-one pro bono guidance.
